BOOK OF THE MONTH: Art on Fire by Yun Ko-eun
Programs:
– In conversation with Yun Ko-eun: A special conversation with Yun Ko-eun, presented in collaboration with the State Library Victoria, will take place on Wednesday, 18 February. The discussion will be moderated by Beverley Wang, host of ABC Radio National and a journalist.
– Korean Book Club: The first Korean Book Club of 2026 will be held at the Korean Cultural Centre Australia. Yun Ko-eun will be in conversation with Michaela Kalowski, an interviewer, moderator and curator for writers.
GUEST: Yun Ko-eun is the winner of the 2021 CWA Dagger for Crime Fiction in Translation, becoming the first Asian writer to receive this award. Her prize-winning novel The Disaster Tourist was shortlisted for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Rosetta Awards, the Comedy Women in Print Awards, the Dublin Literature Award and is currently being developed into a film. She has published four short story collections and five novels, three of which have been translated into English.
