BEHIND THE SOUND: EXPLORING MUSIC IN K-CONTENT Event Date 19 Sep 2025
The Korean Cultural Centre AU is pleased to present a special talk session with Minju Lim, a rising film music composer and producer, who will share behind-the-scenes insights of music production in K-Content. Music plays a vital role in shaping the atmosphere and emotional impact across diverse media — from films and dramas to commercials. This exclusive session offers a rare opportunity to explore the creative process of screen music production in Korean films and dramas through a live demonstration, and engage in a short Q&A session with Lim. 2025 KOREAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL IN ADELAIDE Event Date 29 Mar 2025
Calling all Korean culture lovers in Adelaide! The Korean Cultural Centre Australia is excited to host a variety of special events in Adelaide SA, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in and celebrate Korean culture up close. We warmly invite you to join us and make this experience unforgettable. Don’t miss out on this amazing chance to discover the charm of Korean culture! DATE & TIME: 29/03/2025(SAT), 12:00 – 15:30 (ACST) ●Session 1: 12:00 – 13:30 ●Session 2: 14:00 – 15:30 VENUE: University of South Australia, City West Campus PROGRAM DETAILS: ●Korean Hanbok Experience and Traditional Craft Workshop: Participants will have the chance to try on Hanbok, the traditional Korean attire, and have their photos taken in their beautiful Hanbok with an instant camera. The photos will be given as a gift. They will also take part in a craft session where they will create traditional Korean lanterns using ‘Hanji’, a type of Korean paper. Additionally, participants will make their own traditional Korean game pieces called ‘Ttakji’, featuring unique patterns. Experience the beauty of Korean traditions and create unforgettable memories. ●Korean Makgeolli and Food Pairing Experience: This workshop offers the chance to learn about the origin, varieties, and brewing methods of ‘Makgeolli’, one of Korea’s traditional liquors. Participants will have the opportunity to taste two different types of Makgeolli. In addition, they will enjoy Korean dishes that pair well with Makgeolli and discover how Korean food and traditional liquor complement each other. In this experience, participants will enjoy Squid Salad (Ojingeo Muchim), Prawn Pancakes (Saeujeon), and Zucchini Pancakes (Chaesojeon), and explore how each dish pairs with Makgeolli. (Important Notice: This workshop involves the consumption of alcohol, and all participants will be required to show valid ID at the entrance. Food and drink tastings will be provided during the event, and participants are responsible for any food allergies and safety concerns. The event organisers are not responsible for any accidents or issues arising from excessive drinking. We kindly ask participants to drink responsibly.) In collaboration with the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival hosted by Parramatta City Council, we are thrilled to present a series of engaging Korean culture workshops. Join us for storytelling sessions of Rajah Street and a unique hands-on workshop, “Make a Korean Transitional Suncatcher in Munsal,” led by Myo Yim, a talented Korean children’s book author-illustrator. Adding to the excitement, Sydney-based K-Pop cover dance group Sirius will host an energetic K-Pop dance workshop, followed by a lively K-Pop Random Dance Play session. The Korean Cultural Centre holds a special workshop to celebrate the Year of the Blue Snake. Decorate your own foldable fan with blue snakes and cool calligraphy. It will be a time to learn traditional origins and cultures related to the Lunar New Year.
