2025 HANGEUL EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

The Korean Cultural Centre Australia is pleased to present a “Hangeul Embroidery Workshop” as part of its regular Korean Design Craft Workshop series, highlighting the beauty of Hangeul and Korean traditional elements.

Celebrate the harmony of Hangeul and craft in this hands-on activity where creativity meets cultural heritage. All materials will be provided, and no previous embroidery experience is needed.

DATE & TIME: 08/08/2025 (FRI), 18:00 – 20:00 (AEST)

VENUE: Korean Cultural Centre Australia(Ground Floor, 255 Elizabeth St, Sydney)

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Participants will embroider the Korean word “Nabi” (butterfly) using traditional stitching techniques on organza (Nobang) fabric featuring folk painting patterns, and decorate a Korean-style dreamcatcher with a butterfly made from organza fabric and traditional Korean knots.

APPLICATION:

  • Free event, adults only (18+)

  • This is an invitation-based program due to limited spots available. If you would like to be one of the participants to join the workshop, please click ‘HERE’ to apply by 03/08/2025 (SUN) 23:59 (AEST).

  • Only selected participants will be notified via email on 04/08/2025 (MON). If you are unable to attend after your application is successful, please inform us at sejong@koreanculture.org.au at least 48 hours before the event, so that someone on the waiting list can be given the opportunity to join. Failure to notify us may affect your eligibility for future programs.

  • By participating in this event, you agree to being filmed or photographed, which may be used for promotional purposes. Please register for the event only if you consent to this.
